Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan

Fellow citizens, the UAE has passed through an important stage in its modern history. We have come a long way in building our nation, strengthening its foundations, and achieving political, economic, social and cultural empowerment. We are now in a new stage in which our nation is continuing to establish its position in both regional and international arenas. This stage requires every citizen to do their best and cooperate with their fellow citizens in order for our progress and development to continue and for our nation to be among the greatest in the world.

Therefore, we need to summon our determination and strength, address the challenges we face and ensure that we pass our nation’s flag to the next generation with pride and dignity, having preserved the heritage entrusted to us by our forefathers, thanks to the wisdom of our leadership and the unity of our citizens.

The UAE is also among the elite actors in spreading the culture of peace, dialogue, the delivery of foreign aid, the mitigation of impact of disasters and meeting the requirements of the vulnerable. This approach has enabled our country to build a positive, proud image and to forge ties of fruitful cooperation and integration with countries and peoples of the world.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum

"In our race to achieve number one position, we look at excellence as a challenge rather than a mere accomplishment, for the latter is what we’ve attained for the future of our people and country, whereas excellence is an on-going process and is not restricted by the boundaries of time and place."

"Every peak we reach overlooks the next. This is the recipe for success and advancement. One's success is not only for them, but against them as well and the more successful you are, the more responsible you become."

"The changing times and the nature of the challenges prompt us to think in a different way and to adopt international best practices in the area of public administration. Hence this strategy, that unifies efforts within a strategic framework with clear objectives based on detailed studies, clearly identifies and integrates federal and local efforts."
